Congratulations! You are ready to take back control of your life and begin your recovery from substance use disorder. It is important to know what to expect when you seek treatment through Crossing Recovery Center.

  • It all starts with a call to us. If you are calling on Monday-Friday between 8:00 am -4:30 pm, please call 217-330-5676. If you are calling on the evenings or weekends, call 217-330-5861. When you call, you may be put on a brief hold due to the large call volume that is directed through our facilities. When the switchboard operator answers, ask for a substance use disorder assessment. We will try to get to you right away, but we may have to take your number and call you back.

If you would rather come in person for your assessment, you can walk in to the “Elements” outpatient building at 420 E. Central Avenue between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday-Friday. Tell the receptionist at the desk that you are there for a substance use disorder assessment and wait in the lobby for the first available qualified staff person to meet with you.

The assessment includes detailed questions regarding your current health, behavior, and support system. It helps us determine the severity of your substance use disorder and its impact on your life. Be as honest and forthcoming as possible so that we can direct you to the most appropriate level of care to best meet your needs.
