Erin McQuirter, LCSW
Behavioral Health interests:
I provide an array of behavioral health services, specializing in helping individuals recover from substance use disorders, grief and loss and trauma.
When do you first recall wanting a career in behavioral health?
Since early childhood, I felt called to help others. It was not until I commenced my undergraduate work in psychology and later, during my graduate coursework in social work, that discovered a desire to be a clinical social worker.
Why did you choose your specialty?
Simply stated, I believe in the power of hope. Hope is the small part of us that pushes us to keep going when times are difficult. For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping people to find new ways to face long-standing challenges and to regain a sense of strength, purpose and hope.
What do you like to do outside of Crossing Healthcare?
When not working, I enjoy travel and the arts.
Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.
